Accounts Receivable Manager- NetSuite- New York ,NY- $85,000

Anderson Frank has partnered with a growing brand in the retail industry that is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Manager with NetSuite experience to help grow their accounting department. Reporting directly to the Controller and the CFO who will be responsible for overseeing all AR functions including general invoices, cash applications and collections.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day operations of the AR department; create, implement and maintain policies, procedures and controls, manage and streamline billing and collection process and cash application functions for the company.
* Responsible for managing the activities of the staff invoicing, issuing credit / debit memos, establishing reserves, etc.; including ERP responsibilities for the AR subledger.
* Assists in monitoring, tracking and enforcing department policies, procedures and goals while identifying inefficiencies and propose, develop and document new concepts and procedures.
* Participate in the month-end closing, prepare monthly reconciliations, and assist in preparing monthly consolidations and ad-hoc reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
* Manage the monthly AR close process including reconciliation of AR sub-ledger to GL and preparation of AR month end schedules and reconciliation to GL and metrics used for internal reporting.
Daily review of collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and reduce collection cycle times where possible.
Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad-debt status to account.
* Monitor aging balances and recommend write off.
* Work closely with Division heads and Sales department to ensure collection guidelines are adhered to and issues quickly resolved.
Actively monitor and work with internal departments to resolve all outstanding Accounts Receivable claims and chargebacks.
Work with staff to prioritize work and ensure staff is trained on policy and procedure. Ensure work is accurate and is being processed in a timely manner and in accordance with department policies and procedures.
* Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure duties are properly performed and employees are working towards common business goals. This will include preparation of the annual performance evaluations. Provide constructive feedback as per company guidelines.
Assist with researching, documenting and implementing conclusions regarding accounting treatment for non-routine transactions and new accounting pronouncements for areas of responsibility
Maintain process documentation and look for opportunities to automate and improve daily account processes


* Retail and/or Consumer product industry a must.
Experienced in leading a team and implementing process improvement.
Must have experience dealing with high volume of Accounts Receivables at a fast pace while ensuring accurate & timely collection.
Minimum of 5 years of combined public accounting experience or experience in a large company corporate accounts receivable department.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with management, direct co-workers, as well as other departments
Self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Foundational understanding of US GAAP, including significant reserves, cash-flow, and complex accounting matters
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a change-oriented environment
Enthusiastic and eager to learn and problem solve
Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize and execute concurrent assignments
Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Exposure to SAP and Concur is preferred but not a condition of employment
