Senior Accountant - NetSuite - Manufacturing - Detroit, MI
This organization is an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution industry. The Accountant will play a key part at the plant where they will work the full cycle accounting process as well as be a part of an entrepreneurial team, working closely with sales and operations. This position is hands-on and requires someone who likes to take charge and enjoys a busy workload, it is a combination of financial accounting and operational finance support. You will be involved in all parts of the business and will be able to have an impact.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting - financial statements accurately reflect the results
Financial Transaction reporting
Cash reconciliations
Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
Fixed Assets
Payroll
Audit - Assist with the annual financial audit, sales tax audits, etc.
System Support - Be the resident expert on our ERP system and provide support
Purchasing and Inventory Management
Pricing - Assist sales team with setting prices, protecting margins
Sales Reporting
Operations Reporting - Issue operations reports
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting (must), CPA/CMA preferred
NetSuite experience strongly preferred
Public accounting experience preferred
Manufacturing and distribution industry accounting experience preferred
Equal interest in both the financial accounting side of this role and the operational finance side of the role
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic
Strong Excel knowledge
Excellent time management skills
Great organizational skills with strong attention to detail
