Our client is a leader within the manufacturing industry with a Fun, Family, Detailed-oriented Culture. The client is looking for a like minded Sr. Accountant to join their organization to help support their growth.

The Sr. Accountant will provide financial information to management by compiling and analyzing account information, and guiding clerical staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing process, including journal entries.
* Performs all AR & AP functions.
* Responsible for Accounting related vendor relations and associated software integration maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records, files, and reconciling accounts. Responsible for bank and other reconciliations. Maintains fixed asset records. Performs daily, weekly and monthly bank reporting and Cash Flow tracking.
* Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
* Performs line of credit underwriting (for net terms) within assigned line of credit limit underwriting authorization.
* Logs customer deposits, payments and prepayments.
* Substantiates financial transactions by reconciling discrepancies and auditing documents, particularly shipping bills.
* Works with external collections agencies to collect on unpaid invoices.
* Audits vendor bills for accuracy.
* Places and applies vendor prepayments..
* Plans and initiates inventory cycle counts for A, B and C inventory items.
* Maintains accounting controls by adhering to and enforcing internal controls.
* Prepares depreciation schedules.
* Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
* Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
* Assists with any audits related to sales and use tax.
* Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
* Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, finance, business administration.
* ERP Software is required (NetSuite preferred)
* Proven ability to develop processes that improve company standards.
* Excel experience.
