Job Description
Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer and retailer now operating internationally. They are looking for an experienced NetSuite Financial Controller to support the organisation with insights through business performance reporting and analysis, with a specific focus on supporting Supply Chain & Operations.
The Financial Controller will need to manage the costing processes, review and prepare month end performance results, establish/ maintain and distribute reports, deliver quality and insightful commentary, assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, variance analysis and report on business trends and metrics. They will need to provide decision support analysis to management and oversee Accounts Payable and staff.
Role & Responsibilities
* Assist in managing factory operational financial performance and ensure that key cost areas are controlled.
* Assist in the maintenance of the costing system and review Bills of Materials, purchasing prices and cost drivers for new product costing and provide insightful analysis for decision making.
* Ensure all month end procedures, WIP calculations, adjusting journals and General Ledger reconciliations are undertaken accurately and on time for COGS.
* Complete factory operational month end close in accordance with timetable.
* Support Inventory control and ensure accuracy and monthly reconciliation of control account and assist Inventory teams in monitoring cycle counts.
* Assist with the preparation of quarterly forecast and annual budgets to ensure the achievement of established objectives and key milestones.
* Develop analytic tools to capture data and formulate process for functional teams to forecast future projections.
* Support business partners in the development of strategic plans and business development proposals.
* Ensure continuous improvement to the ERP system and other future initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
* Finance Manager (or similar role) experience is required.
* Excellent problem solving/analytical skills is essential.
* Tertiary education in Accounting/Finance.
* CA or CPA qualified.
* Experience using Manufacturing ERP systems and MS office skills (including advanced Excel)
