Job Title: Director of Accounting
Salary - $145,000 - $170,000
Job Overview:
The Director of Accounting will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including the supervision of accounting staff, oversight of financial reporting and analysis, development and maintenance of internal control policies/procedures, as well as monitoring and providing advice on the compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have a CPA, experience in Accounting/Finance and people management, with experience with NetSuite.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other General Ledger functions in the Accounting Department
* Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial statements
* Monitor the quality of financial reports and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
* Work with auditors to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements and records
* Develop, install and monitor internal control policies and procedures for the accounting process
* Ensure compliance with reporting requirements for both federal, state, and local agencies
* Manage the department budget and oversee the efficient utilization of resources
* Develop, coach and mentor accounting staff
* Lead the enhancement of NetSuite
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
* CPA certification
* 3+ years of people management experience
* Experience with NetSuite
* Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
