Job Description:
Our client is a high growth Consumer Electronics company that is actively seeking an experienced Senior Inventory Accountant to join their team. The position offers a strong benefits package which includes covered healthcare expenses, unlimited PTO and 401k with a match. This role will provide expertise in inventory management, cost accounting, and manufacturing processes to support the company's financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
-Manage and maintain inventory control processes to support accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
-Provide expertise in cost accounting concepts and methodologies, including standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation.
-Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes and deliverables, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory transactional activities, including purchase orders, receiving, transfer and disposal.
-Provide insightful analysis of inventory trends, costs and variances to support effective decision making.
-Maintain productive relationships with external auditors, partners and vendors.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
-Minimum of 5 years' experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting and/or manufacturing finance.
-Experience with Netsuite ERP systems.
-Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel.
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
-Experience in the ecommerce industry is a plus.
