As the Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and inventory management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and support the overall financial health of the organization.
Role & Responsibilities
* NetSuite Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of NetSuite to manage and optimize our financial systems, processes, and reports. Provide training and guidance to team members, ensuring proficiency in NetSuite usage.
* Inventory Management: Oversee and enhance our inventory management processes.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to provide insights into the company's financial performance
* Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and financial statements are prepared in a timely manner.
* Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary changes in accounting practices.
* Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation and coordination of annual financial audits, acting as the primary liaison between auditors and the finance team.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including the supply chain and procurement teams, to improve cross-functional processes and maintain accurate inventory records.
* Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance financial processes and controls, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
* Minimum of [X] years of experience in a similar financial role, with expertise in NetSuite, retail, and inventory management.
