This role is responsible for overseeing the operational flow of goods, specifically focusing on planning and procuring parts and materials from vendors. The primary objective is to ensure that the obtained items meet established quality standards, specifications, production time lines, and customer expectations. The individual in this position will engage extensively with Oracle's NetSuite, relying on strong interpersonal communication skills, professional experience, and internal business systems to effectively communicate pertinent information to relevant departments and stakeholders in a timely manner.

To excel in this position, a profound understanding of the target market, product line, and peripheral components is essential. Additionally, success hinges on possessing a professional skill set that adeptly harnesses available technology for optimal outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintain comprehensive visibility into the supply chain, focusing on understanding production/customer needs, immediate and long-term demand for parts/components, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of existing systems/processes supporting manufacturing operations, warranty obligations, and product fulfillment as per the build schedule
* Collaborate with all company departments to uphold NetSuite integrity, ensuring proper life-cycle management, data accuracy, forecasting future material needs, establishing min/max order quantities, and maintaining inventory at sustainable levels
* Oversee or direct activities related to the evaluation, selection, ordering, and purchasing of components necessary for the manufacture and support of products
* Utilize established relationships with suppliers to request quotations, assess bids, and negotiate prices and terms
* Identify and build relationships with new suppliers, communicating company needs and negotiating the best terms in terms of price, quality, and delivery time frames
* Communicate established Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) needs with suppliers
* Play a significant role in liaising with internal stakeholders and work centers regarding issues or questions related to overall product quality and finance with suppliers
* Continuously optimize the procurement of necessary parts/components to avoid unnecessary overlap of functionality and avoid superfluous purchases
* Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Physical Abilities Required:

* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience required
* Manufacturing experience required, with Purchasing, Planning, and Inventory Control
* Proficient knowledge of NetSuite cloud-based ERP
* Intermediate to Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office/365
* Experience with automation technology, including mechanical, electrical, and software components
