Senior Accountant-NYC
As a Senior Accountant you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high invoice processing, be proficient in using NetSuite, and possess experience in retail, apparel, or manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):
* Manage the full-cycle AP process, from invoice receipt to payment.
* Ensure accurate coding, approval, and processing of invoices in a timely manner.
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Maintain strong vendor relationships and handle vendor inquiries.
*
Accounts Receivable (AR):
* Oversee the AR function, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
* Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
* Prepare and analyze AR aging reports.
* Collaborate with the sales team to resolve billing and payment issues.
*
Invoice Processing:
* Process a high volume of invoices efficiently and accurately.
* Verify the accuracy of invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.
* Streamline invoice approval workflows and optimize payment processes.
*
Financial Reporting:
* Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
* Prepare financial reports and analysis related to AP and AR.
* Participate in financial audits and provide support as needed.

NetSuite Expertise:
* Utilize NetSuite software to manage financial transactions and reporting.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any NetSuite-related issues or discrepancies.

Industry Experience:
* Any prior experience in retail, apparel, or manufacturing is highly advantageous.
