WE are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The Senior Accountant is responsible for revenue accounting operations for a SaaS company providing best in class accounting compliance solutions. The Senior Accountant will establish and support accounting policies and internal controls, develop technical accounting conclusions, collaborate with Channel Sales and Product teams, review and approve billing, and support the monthly close process by performing revenue recognition processes.



Responsibilities



* Understand, interpret and apply technical accounting guidelines under ASC 606
* Prepare analysis to support accounting conclusions and ensure adherence to Accounting Policies
* Lead the monthly close of all revenue-related accounts, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, unbilled A/R, bad debt, and royalty and commissions accruals, ensuring accurate and timely results are delivered to management
* Ensuring proper calculation of sales commissions, including reconciliations and adjustments
* Assist with internal or external audit queries on revenue recognition, including the preparation of revenue-related support schedules for annual financial statements
* Preparing monthly revenue forecasts and assisting with the annual budget
* Document revenue recognition processes accurately and clearly for internal systems
* Assist with performing Standalone Selling Price (SSP) testing
* Assist with and manage various ad-hoc project as needed

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* CPA Preferred
* 3- 5 years experience working in accounting/finance preferred
* Knowledge of ASC 606 with respect to revenue recognition
* Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, but able to deal with ambiguity
* Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills
* Critical/Logistical thinking skills
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively and efficiently

Strong technology skills with NetSuite experience preferred and Microsoft Office 365 - specifically Excel
