Director of IT
Our client, a well-established organization in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a Director of Systems and IT to lead their IT strategy, digital transformation, and daily technical operations. This role will oversee the implementation and management of systems supporting e-commerce, inventory management, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will drive IT best practices, ensure security protocols, and support the organization's growth by aligning technology with business goals.
The Role
As the Director of IT, you will:
* Develop and enforce organizational IT standards
* Improve communication protocols, and establish systems for data security, ERP maintenance, and hardware/software management.
* Provide hands-on support for technical issues, mentor IT team members, and manage relationships with external vendors.
* Oversee IT budgets and implement tools to secure company networks and servers.
* Assess current systems, propose innovative technology solutions, and lead cloud/data transformation initiatives to align IT operations with business objectives.
* Work cross-functionally with e-commerce, sales, retail, and operations teams to design user-friendly solutions that drive efficiency.
Requirements
* Understands the challenges of non-technical end users and can simplify processes and interfaces for ease of use.
* Identifies long-term, sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes.
* Excels in managing multiple priorities and engaging with diverse stakeholders across departments.
* Skilled at mentoring and developing IT team members while managing vendors and external resources.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
* 5+ years of experience in retail, restaurant POS software, warehouse management, or e-commerce systems.
* Proven experience managing NetSuite ERP
* Experience managing external vendors and IT budgets.
* Exceptional communication and project management skills.
