Accounting Team Lead / Accounting Manager

Purpose of the Role
A rapidly growing organization focused on sustainable residential solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Team Lead to support and guide its expanding finance operations. This role offers meaningful impact, leadership responsibility, and long-term growth potential.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will take ownership of key accounting functions across U.S. and Canadian entities while actively managing and supporting a high-performing accounting team.
Core Responsibilities

Lead designated accounting functions while remaining hands-on with daily deliverables
*
Assign, review, and oversee accounting workloads to ensure deadlines and accuracy are met
*
Record and reconcile financial activity in compliance with accounting standards
*
Structure and maintain the chart of accounts to support reporting and operational needs
*
Prepare complete financial packages, including statements and supporting schedules
*
Utilize ERP and accounting platforms to streamline workflows and automate processes
*
Assist with system integrations to support scalability and operational efficiency
*
Develop financial plans, projections, and recurring performance summaries
*
Compile and analyze financial information required for regulatory and tax filings
Qualifications & Experience
*
Prior experience managing or leading teams in a fast-paced accounting environment
*
Strong familiarity with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience highly valued
*
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and financial analysis tools
*
Solid command of accounting fundamentals, including accrual accounting and revenue recognition
*
Exceptional accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
*
Proven ability to identify variances and resolve accounting issues independently
*
Working knowledge of tax compliance and financial reporting requirements
*
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
*
CPA designation preferred but not required

Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience
