I'm supporting a fast‑growing food manufacturing organization in Riverside, CA that is looking to bring on a highly skilled Assistant Controller to join their leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, data-driven environment and wants to make a real impact on operational and financial performance.
What You'll Do:
🔹 Lead full month-end close and financial reporting
🔹 Own cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
🔹 Manage inventory accounting, cycle counts, and accuracy initiatives
🔹 Partner closely with operations to drive efficiency and reduce costs
🔹 Prepare financial statements, board-level reporting, and insights
🔹 Utilize ERP and operational data (NetSuite + Redzone) to support strategic decisions
🔹 Support budgeting, forecasting, asset management, and audits
🔹 Contribute as a key part of the finance leadership structure
What We're Looking For:
✔️ 10+ years in accounting/finance with strong cost accounting experience
✔️ Food manufacturing or similar industry background strongly preferred
✔️ Deep NetSuite ERP experience
✔️ Excellent analytical skills and comfort working cross-functionally
✔️ Strong communicator and detail-oriented problem solver
✔️ CPA/CMA is a plus but not required
