Senior Accountant (NetSuite) - Manufacturing
Overview:
A growing company in the manufacturing space is seeking a Senior Accountant with NetSuite experience to join its finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who can operate both strategically and tactically-supporting core accounting functions while contributing to financial analysis and process improvements. The position works closely with leadership and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financials in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Close
* Support and execute month-end and year-end close processes
* Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
* Assist in financial reporting and management presentations
Revenue & Operational Accounting
* Manage revenue recognition and reporting
* Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
* Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and cash flow management
* Support balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
FP&A & Analysis
* Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
* Partner with leadership to support data-driven decision-making
Systems & Process Improvement
* Leverage NetSuite ERP for daily accounting operations and reporting
* Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
* Support system enhancements, integrations, and reporting optimization
* Utilize Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) for analysis and reporting
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
* 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a product-based environment
* Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP
* Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting concepts
* Experience with month-end close, AR, and general ledger accounting
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Experience:
* Exposure to inventory, cost accounting, or manufacturing operations
* Experience working in a global or multi-entity environment
* Familiarity with integrated systems (e.g., expense management, CRM tools)
* Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams
