Controller
Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite)
Compensation: $180,000-$200,000 Base
Reports To: CFO
About the Role
Our client, a growing consumer products organization, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations, strengthen financial processes, and serve as a key business partner to executive leadership. This role offers significant visibility across the organization and the opportunity to drive financial excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
* Manage and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* Partner with leadership to provide financial insights, reporting, and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
* Drive process improvements and system optimization, leveraging NetSuite to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and other key financial initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
* Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience within a wholesale, consumer products, or consumer goods environment.
* Strong NetSuite experience with a track record of driving process improvements and financial controls.
* Proven ability to balance strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on accounting execution.
Nice to Have
* Experience in inventory-focused environments.
* Background supporting high-growth or entrepreneurial organizations.
* Strong presentation and executive communication skills.
