Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
About the Role
Our client, a growing product-based manufacturing and distribution organization, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This role serves as a key business partner to ownership, providing financial leadership and operational insight that drives profitability, scalability, and long-term growth.
The CFO will oversee Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Human Resources, enterprise systems, and strategic business initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with ownership and executive leadership to develop and execute financial and operational strategies that support growth, profitability, and cash flow objectives.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, cash flow management, and working capital optimization across the organization.
* Drive financial and operational performance through KPI development, business analytics, margin improvement initiatives, and strategic decision support.
* Partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to improve inventory management, product costing, purchasing strategies, and overall business performance.
* Provide executive oversight for ERP strategy, including continued optimization and reporting within Oracle NetSuite, while identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
* Lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on operational efficiency, organizational effectiveness, and scalable business growth.
* Oversee risk management, internal controls, HR operations, external banking and audit relationships, and corporate governance activities.
Desired Qualifications
* 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance, accounting, operations, supply chain, treasury, or related executive functions, including prior CFO, VP Finance, Controller, or similar leadership experience.
* Strong background within manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, consumer products, or other inventory-driven environments.
* Proven expertise in financial planning, forecasting, cash management, working capital optimization, product costing, inventory analysis, and executive-level decision support.
Nice to Have
* Oracle NetSuite leadership experience, including implementation, optimization, reporting, and business transformation initiatives.
* CPA, MBA, CFA, CTP, or similar professional designation.
* Experience overseeing Human Resources, payroll, benefits, and organizational development functions.
