Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily accounting functions
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes
* Maintain fund accounting records for grants and donor restrictions
* Prepare internal reports, grant reports, and audit documentation
* Support audits, 990 filings, and funding compliance
* Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
* Improve financial processes for accuracy and efficiency
* Track grant spending and revenue recognition
* Collaborate with program teams on reporting and reimbursements
* Monitor grant usage and reporting deadlines
* Maintain NetSuite
* Support reporting, automation, and system enhancements
* Partner on strategic financial planning
* Train staff on budgets and financial procedures
* Supervise accounting team and conduct performance reviews
Qualifications
* Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred)
* Nonprofit accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of GAAP, IRS 990, and grant compliance
* Proficiency in Excel and NetSuite experience
* Understanding of federal grant regulations
