As a Senior Finance Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and accounting aspects of our day-to-day operations. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial processes within the accounting department.

Responsibilities:

1 Oversee and manage all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial reporting.
2 Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
3 Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4 Analyze financial data and prepare insightful reports to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
5 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in financial operations.
6 Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
7 Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights to support financial planning initiatives.
8 Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
9 Mentor and train junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Job Description

Due to the growth of the company, I have the pleasure of working with an organization who falls under the restaurant industry. They are seeking an experienced and driven Controller to join our finance team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Role & Responsibilities

* Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
* Utilize NetSuite ERP for Financial Input Data
* Develop financial models and analysis to support business planning and growth initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

* Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
* Present financial reports to the leadership team, highlighting key performance indicators and variances.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree and/or CPA designation is a plus.
* Experience as a Controller or similar financial management role, preferably in the advertising, marketing, or media industry.
* Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
* Proficient with financial management software and NetSuite ERP

We're recruiting on behalf of a client who is a global leader in the recycling industry. The firm has a proprietary, environmentally-friendly process and serves multiple stakeholders across the globe. Based out of Downtown NY, with locations in North America and Europe, the company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to contribute to their mission.

Job Description

Our client's Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and insightful expense analysis to drive strategic decisions. The role demands close collaboration with finance leadership and operational area managers to fulfill a wide array of financial, statistical, and analytical requirements. A strong skill set in problem-solving and data comprehension is vital for success.

Role and Responsibilities

* Responsible for recording and analyzing operating expenses across different departments and international subsidiaries.
* Oversee a diverse range of general accounting functions, including journal entries, month-end closings, and year-end reports.
* Account reconciliation and general ledger maintenance.
* Inventory valuation and coordination with operations teams for accuracy.
* Monitor capital expenditure against plan.
* Review and approve accounts receivable and payable transactions.
* Daily management and support of bookkeepers.
* Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance activities.
* Work on new accounting systems (NetSuite) and process improvements.
* Budget monitoring, revenue projections, and expenditure forecasting

Compensation and Benefits

- Annual base salary range of $110,000 to $150,000, dependent on skills and experience.

- Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), dental, health, disability, and life insurance.

- Day shift, Monday to Friday with occasional domestic travel.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting (required).
* 7+ years of accounting experience, CPA is a plus.
* A strong background in manufacturing, inventory, and CAPEX.
* Experience with NetSuite
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Ability to travel %-P
