Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, utilizing NetSuite to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, leveraging NetSuite's capabilities to streamline processes and ensure data integrity.

- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.

- Coordinate and lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements, and manage the integration of NetSuite with other manufacturing systems to optimize workflow and data synchronization.

Qualifications:



- 7+ years of accounting experience handling AP/AR/GL/Month End

- Strong proficiency in technical accounting, audit, month and fiscal close

- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP including administration and user trainings

- Strong background in public accounting, CPA preferred

Job Description

The Assistant Controller oversees critical financial functions like accounts payable, month-end close, and reporting. They are responsible for implementing efficient processes and leveraging appropriate technologies to deliver timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders. This role also supports compliance efforts, including the annual audit and tax requirements. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this is a hybrid position only 1 day a week into their office where catered lunch will be provided along with opportunities to grow within the role. The company is mission-driven, starting as a tech start-up up now with 14 patents both granted and pending. Company is seeing rapid growth and has a great cooperative work environment.

Role & Responsibilities

* Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, and treasury management.
* Direct the annual financial statement audit process with external auditors and manage all tax compliance efforts with third-party consultants.
* Manage a small team of accounting professionals, ensuring they meet key goals and objectives.
* Compile and issue monthly commission statements for the sales team promptly.

Skills & Qualifications

* Leading a month-end close process at the manager level or above.
* Experience going through the annual audit process.
* Strong skills in general ledger accounting and accounts payable management.
* Substantial preferred experience with NetSuite or other mid-market ERPs (e.g., SAGE).
* Demonstrated management experience, beyond a senior accountant role.
* 5-7 Years worth of Accounting Experience.
