Job Description
A growing company in the North Miami area is seeking to hire a Controller to take ownership over their month-end close process, assist with budgeting & financial reporting, and assist with an ongoing NetSuite implementation, among several other duties.
Role & Responsibilities
* Lead and manage month-end close process maintaining a close period of no more than 10 business days
* Reconcile balance sheet and related P&L accounts on a monthly basis
* Conduct variance analysis across several accounts
* Assist the CFO with any special projects
* Oversee the accounting staff, ensuring compliance to internal controls/procedures
* Assist with audit preparations, interface with external audit team(s)
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous NetSuite implementation experience, or recent MS Great Plains experience preferred
* Degree in Accounting, finance or related
* Candidates with a CPA are preferred
* Previous public accounting or audit experience preferred
* Prior cost accounting experience preferred
* Experience with companies in the manufacturing or distribution industry
* Strong organizational and time management experience
* Must be local to the Miami area, role is 100% on-site
* Strong written & verbal communication skills
