    Our client, a fast-growing tech start-up, is in the exciting early stages of a NetSuite implementation and is looking for an experienced IT Systems Manager to take the lead. This is a newly created position born from the company's rapid growth and need for a strong technical leader to drive their systems strategy forward.

    In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for all things NetSuite-working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure a seamless go-live and system adoption. You'll have the opportunity to build out processes, implement best practices, and help shape the company's technology landscape from the ground up.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Controller - Manufacturing / Consumer Goods

    Overview

    A well-established and growing manufacturing and consumer goods organization is expanding its finance team and seeking an experienced Controller to support the continued scale of the business. This role is being added due to growth and increasing operational complexity and will work closely with senior finance leadership to strengthen accounting operations, reporting, and cross-functional support.

    This is a hands-on role suited for someone who wants to go beyond traditional close and reporting and play an active role in improving processes, supporting operations, and driving accuracy and efficiency across the finance function.

    Responsibilities

    *

    Oversee core accounting operations including month-end close, financial statements, and GAAP compliance
    *

    Manage and improve inventory and cost accounting processes, including COGS, standard costing, and variance analysis
    *

    Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost controls
    *

    Support and review commission and rebate reporting, working closely with sales and external vendors to resolve discrepancies
    *

    Manage vendor relationships and oversee key financial interactions related to purchasing, rebates, and EDI transactions
    *

    Assist with treasury and cash flow management, including forecasting, monitoring cash inflows/outflows, and working capital
    *

    Leverage NetSuite to enhance reporting, automate processes, and improve data accuracy
    *

    Support and guide the accounting team, including AR and AP functions, with the opportunity to expand leadership responsibilities over time
    *

    Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements, including ERP optimization and reporting efficiencies

    Requirements

    Prior experience as a Controller, Financial Controller, or senior accounting leader within a manufacturing, consumer goods, or wholesale distribution environment

    Strong working knowledge of NetSuite in a manufacturing or inventory-driven business

    Solid experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and COGS
    *

    Exposure to EDI platforms such as SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or CommerceHub
    *

    Experience with treasury and cash flow management
    *

    Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, and reporting formulas

    Experience supporting modules such as: Inventory, Advanced Financials, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing, or WMS.
    *

    Hands-on experience with SuiteAnalytics, saved searches, workflows, and customizations.
    *

    Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and Warehouse/3PL partners.
