Staff Accountant

Job Description

This company is in search of an exceptional Staff Accountant to assist in ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing which includes but is not limited to general ledgers, financial records, reports, and reconciliations. This could also involve developing schedules and analytics as needed.

· Monthly general ledger/month end close

· Inventory reporting

· Sales Tax entry

· Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and work papers

· Analyze accounting results, investigate variances and document findings

· Perform other routine and non-routine functions as assigned by management

Other duties as assigned
Role & Responsibilities

* Assist with closing process and performing independent research if needed
* Compile expense accruals, review GL coding
* organize and monitor accounting documentation accurately within accordance of the company procedures

Skills & Qualifications

* BS in Accounting
* 2-3 years accounting experience
* understanding financial process and internal controls
* solid analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge
* ERP (NetSuite) experience a plus
