Purchasing Manager: Newark, NJ



As the Purchasing Manager you will play a crucial role in our operations by overseeing and optimizing our procurement activities. You will work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, components, and services essential for our manufacturing processes within NetSuite. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Strategic Sourcing:

* Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships to secure favorable terms and pricing.
* Continuously monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement within NetSuite

Supplier Management:

* Manage relationships with existing suppliers, including conducting regular performance evaluations and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
* Collaborate with suppliers to drive process improvements, quality enhancements, and cost reductions.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the supplier network.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

* Work closely with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, logistics, quality assurance, and finance teams, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
* Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization.
* Act as a liaison between departments to streamline communication and ensure alignment on procurement priorities and objectives.

Process Optimization:

* Assess current procurement processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
* Implement streamlined procurement procedures, standardize documentation, and leverage technology solutions to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, measure performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational excellence.
