Job Description

Company Overview: My client is a dynamic and mission-driven global organization. They are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our team and lead our financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes. The ideal candidate will come from the non-profit sector and possess knowledge in NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday Adaptive or similiar systems.

Position Overview: The Director of FP&A will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and performance of the organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

* Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
* Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Strategic Financial Management:

* Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive organizational growth.
* Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts.
* Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

System Expertise:

* Oversee and optimize the organization's use of NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday Adaptive to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
* Collaborate with the IT and Finance teams to implement and maintain financial systems and integrations.

Team Leadership & Development:

* Lead and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
* Establish and monitor performance metrics and goals for the FP&A team to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record of success in the non-profit sector.
* Extensive experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Workday Adaptive is a nice to have
* Strong analytical, financial modeling, and forecasting skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a high-performing team.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
