Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Reston, VA

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join our client's expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the accounts payable function within a growing organization. The successful candidate will manage the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments, while also contributing to process improvements and overall financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and vendor management.
* Ensure all payments are processed accurately and timely, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
* Manage relationships with vendors, resolving any issues related to billing or payments.
* Review and approve accounts payable batches for entry into NetSuite.
* Lead the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency within the accounts payable function.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and present accounts payable reports to management, providing insights on payment trends and cash flow.
* Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliation of accounts.
* Collaborate with other departments to resolve any payment-related issues and to ensure smooth financial operations.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
* Proficiency in NetSuite
* Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a start-up or growth-stage company.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
