Position Overview

We are partnering with our client to find a Senior Accountant who will play a critical role in managing their financial operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the client's mission and a willingness to engage in a broad range of accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accrual accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee and perform double-entry bookkeeping, including amortizations and journal entry postings.
- Process and manage accounts payable (AP), which will initially constitute a significant portion of the role. Collaborate with the team to automate AP workflows.
- Handle restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring proper accounting treatment and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of Form 990 and other nonprofit-specific financial reports.
